Hidetaka Kojima started his career as a financial advisor at Daiwa Securities Co. Ltd. and then moved to GCA (Houlihan Lokey). After that, he joined Mitsubishi Corporation in 2011 upon the establishment of the Food Sciences Division and then joined SHIFT Inc. in 2020. He was also involved in the establishment of SHIFT Growth Capital Inc. and was appointed as a director of the board in March 2022. He was elected as representative director in November 2024. He was also appointed as the Director/CEO of SHIFT USA Inc. in February 2025. He has been responsible for the planning and execution of M&A/PMI and business development strategy at these companies.

He completed the PLD course (PLDA) at Harvard Business School. He also received an MBA from Hitotsubashi University and earned a BA from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. He is a US Certified Public Accountant.

    Tomomasa Goto is a seasoned business leader with deep expertise in strategic planning, business development, and transformation. With over 20 years of experience, he has successfully led growth initiatives across multiple industries, driving innovation and operational excellence.

    He spent nearly 15 years at Mitsubishi Corporation, leading corporate strategy, M&A, and post-merger integration in Japan and the U.S. He later served as Managing Director and Representative Director at Griffith Foods Japan, overseeing business expansion. In 2024, he joined SHIFT Inc. as Managing Director of EVAC Consulting, where he focuses on enterprise value acceleration, digital transformation, and strategic consulting. In Feb 2025, he was appointed as Director in SHIFT USA. He holds an MBA from IE Business School and both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Tokyo. His leadership and expertise help businesses navigate complex challenges and achieve sustainable growth.

  • Motomichi Masano

    After spending 11 years at KPMG conducting financial audits primarily for publicly listed companies and supporting IPO processes, Motomichi Masano joined Deloitte Tohmatsu’s Risk Advisory division, where he spent four years assisting with internal control development and enhancing accounting governance.

    He then transitioned to a construction company, where he served as Head of Internal Audit, establishing the internal audit department from the ground up and building a governance framework. In September 2023, he joined SHIFT and was assigned to the Internal Audit Office. Motomichi is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).

  • Takefumi Murakami

    After graduating from Yokohama National University with a degree in Economics, Takefumi Murakami worked at a system development company before joining Net One Systems in 2001. Over the course of 10 years, he worked as an engineer in advanced IT fields before leading business development initiatives in Silicon Valley.

    Upon returning to the company’s headquarters, he oversaw product and service development while also leading partnerships with domestic and international firms, new business development, and innovation promotion as the head of the department.

    With over 20 years of experience working with leading IT companies worldwide, including in Silicon Valley, he has spearheaded numerous initiatives, such as supporting startups entering the Japanese market, investment strategies, and launching joint business initiatives.

    In 2024, he joined SHIFT, taking charge of global business expansion, including developing overseas business strategies, forming partnerships with international companies, and leading the SHIFT USA establishment project. With the launch of SHIFT USA in February 2025, he was appointed as Executive Officer of Business Development.

  • Kaz Baba

    Kaz Baba

    Executive Officer, Corporate Development

    Linked in

    Kaz Baba graduated from Keio University with a degree in Law and completed an MBA at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management as a Fulbright Scholar.

    Kaz has 16 years of experience at Mizuho Bank and Mizuho Securities, working in both Tokyo and London. He specialized in M&A sourcing, advisory services, and strategic financing arrangements, including leveraged buyouts for domestic and international corporations as well as private equity firms. Additionally, he played a key role in a newly established department at Mizuho Bank, managing proprietary mezzanine and equity investments, including strategic investments.

    He joined SHIFT in April 2022 and assumed the role of Head of M&A Execution in July, overseeing execution responsibilities. He currently serves as an Executive Officer at SHIFT USA, leading corporate planning initiatives, including M&A. He was appointed as a director of the board at SHIFT Growth Capital Inc. in September 2025.

  • Naoki Yamakoshi

    Naoki Yamakoshi

    Executive QA Expert

    Linked in

    After graduating from the University of Tokyo, Naoki Yamakoshi joined IBM Japan and spent over 30 years in software development and testing at both U.S. and domestic research labs. In 2006, he took on the role of domestic head of the Testing Services division, driving numerous quality and testing-related business initiatives.

    He joined SHIFT in February 2022 as a QA Expert, supporting multiple clients and leading the launch of new solutions, including defect analysis services.

  • Pierre Moriyama

    Previously, he led the Business Strategy Development Unit at X Corp. Japan (formerly Twitter Japan) and spent 26 years at Dentsu, where he specialized in Sports Marketing, Global Business Development and gained international experience working in the UK.
    Pierre holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Tokyo.

  • Atsuya Toyama

    Previously, he served as General Manager of Information Systems for the Enterprise Solutions Division at Hitachi, leading AI-based predictive maintenance business for US major fleet.
    Atsuya holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School.

  • Mosh Suzuki

    With extensive experience in business development both domestically and internationally, he has held roles as a technology startup founder and Senior Director at a venture capital firm based in Santa Clara.
    Mosh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Chuo University, completed the Executive Programme at INSEAD, and was a visiting scholar in Information Technology at Stanford University.

  • Keigo Ogawa

    Previously, he was an M&A Analyst in the Global Investment Banking division at RBC Capital Markets in Toronto, Canada.
    Keigo holds a Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Engineering Science from University of Toronto.
